Monemvasia  is in the region in Laconia, in the south-east of Greece, around 90 km from the ancient city   of  Sparta on the Peloponnese peninsula. The Monemvasia region is renowned as one of the best areas in the world for high quality olive oil production.  It benefits from higher elevation, which contributes to periods of lower winter temperatures and a moderate rainy season. The area sees long periods of sunshine, limited rainfalls and moisture. For centuries, the culture of olive oil production has been handed down from generation to generation. We extract our oil by solely by mechanical means from fresh olives to retain their rich fruity flavour and exceptional taste of the unique oil which cannot be found anywhere else in the world..
